I went on a local old town photo shoot Monday night and caught some pictures with the La Canada fire in the background (the reason why, I think, I may have developed a headache afterwards). I find this architecture so beautiful and love to take pictures of it and people here. The following picture is on the ground as you walk towards the entrance of the library.
According to Wikipedia: Monrovia is the fourth oldest general law city in Los Angeles County and the L.A. Basin (after Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Pasadena). Incorporated in 1887, Monrovia has grown from a sparse community of orange ranches to a residential community of 37,000. People traveling between Los Angeles and San Bernardino traveled "via Monroe's Ranch," hence the name.

You can see the smoke above on both of these pictures, the first is more intensely colored but it is only seconds of difference.

You can see the smoke in the background of the above picture, behind the trees.

A plant on the premises, the landscaping was designed to be very pretty but with the water conservation plan we are on, the grass is dying. The plants like those in this picture will be fine because they don't require that much water.

Another picture that smoke can be seen.

A statue of Mark Twain is on one of the corners of the library.

Nice sky with a little bit of smoke in the background.

One of the old trees located on the premises.

Another

I thought this would be a good view of the library.

One of the cutest towns ever, right? And that is only one block, there is so much more...maybe I will continue this little venture.
